32 Life Lessons in 32 Years on this Earth!
I celebrated my 32nd birthday last month and I thought what better way to get back to my blog tha to share 32 kickass life lessons that I have learnt on this beautiful planet!
So, here you go:
- The best thing you can do for yourself is take that leap
- Healing, like most things in life, is not linear
- The things you thought would mean ‘success’ for you when you were younger can change. And it’s alright!
- It’s ok to not have a plan
- Shitty days are a part of life. Accept them, walk through them, process them
- Challenging yourself will show you things about you that you never thought possible
- You are not your thoughts
- Napping is productive
- You have to do that hard thing. It helps your grow
- Boundaries are everything (Register for my Boundaries like a Boss Masterclass here)
- Delayed gratification trumps instant gratification
- Deccide how you want to be treated. And then let go of everyone who doesn’t treat you according to your standard
- Get in touch with your inner child more often. Dance, skip, hop, jump, sing!
- Protect your energy. Release anything and anyone that drains you
- Hydrate!
- Focus on your self care. Do something regularly to nurture your mind, body & soul
- Question your beliefs. Regularly
- Make time for things that excite you. Watch that movie, listen to the album, read that fantasy series.
- Taking care of yourself and your body is the most important skill you’ll learn
- Make friends with people who are doing better than you. They will teach you the mindset your journey is taking you towards
- Learn how to cook. It’s one of the most important life skills
- Learn how to communicate. Even if it is a conflict, even if it makes you uncomfortable, even when all you wanna do is tell someone you love them often
- Take the time to get to know yourself. Your superpowers, your values, your why. It will take you a long way
- Meditate
- Keep an eye on your dead time
- Learn new things
- Learn how to love yourself. Truly and completely
- Take radical responsibility for your shit. You are the only one who can do that
- Lead first. The Universe follows
- Spend time in nature. It nurtures you in ways nothing else will
- Tell your loved ones you love them. Often.
- The most important person in your life is YOU
